Rolloff Dates
Here are the rolloff dates and times we have so far.
As we receive
rolloff information from the centers, we will post all
rolloffs here.
Semifinal Rolloffs
The qualifying rolloffs will be held at 26 participating centers across
New England. These centers were determined by their contribution to the production costs of filming and airing
the show. We will be holding rolloffs in January and February. We have split the sponsoring centers into
two groups. The first 13 will have the first rolloff and taping. The remaining 13 centers will have the second rolloff and
taping. This will allow each area to hold 3 sets of rolloffs.
Each participating center will send 5 bowlers to the finals if they
have 20 or fewer total at their rolloff(s). An additional 1 out of every 4 bowlers above 20 will also
go to the finals (rounding UP and subject to change). If you have 20 bowlers rolloff, five go to the finals. If you have
34 bowlers, 9 go to the finals. If you have 9 bowlers rolloff, the top 5 go to the finals. There is a chart
at the bottom of this page that shows how many bowlers advance to the finals depending on how many bowlers there are
in the semifinal round. The cost will be $30 per bowler for each rolloff. $15 will go to the bowling center for the cost
of bowling, and $15 will go to the prize fund of the show. All rolloffs will be 5 strings. As each center gives
us their rolloff dates and times, we will post them all on this website.
Final Rolloffs
The finals for the first taping will be held at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill,
MA. After the last fhift of those finals, we will randomly draw where the next set of finals will be. If that center
cannot, or will not accomadate both shifts of finals for the selected date, they will automatically go back to Pilgrim Lanes.
This was recently changed after careful consideration of comments and suggestions that we received. It seems this is a fair
compromise. The cost for the finals will be the same, $30 per bowler. We will hold 2 shifts in order to accommodate
all finalists. Finals will be held on Sundays at 9:00AM and 11:00AM. The top 6 scores from each final rolloff will make
it on the show. The qualifiers will be seeded according to their score and put in the ladder for that taping session.
General
Please promote the rolloffs! The more participants we have, the more
the prize fund will grow! We want to display the best candlepin bowlers in the world and allow anyone a chance to make
it on the show. We have some exciting twists and turns which will make the show more fun, exciting and interesting.
The more people who watch, the better the ratings will be, the lower the costs will be which means a bigger prize fund!
Please, spread the word! Promote the rolloffs! Promote the show! This is the most exciting candlepin bowling
show ever to be aired on television!
